The current economic crisis has placed many baby boomers at a crossroad.

Some have lost their jobs. Many others are still employed but are feeling job insecurity. They are hoping that there is significant improvement in the economy so their companies can reach a level of financial stability. Then there are those who are not happy with their job and want out.

Some are entrepreneurs at heart and don’t like working for someone else. They are tired of their daily commute. They don’t like working so many weeks each year and only getting a few days off for vacation. They are looking to regain control of their lives.

When I was working in corporate America, I was in the “entrepreneur at heart” category and wanted out. One thing that irritated me was trying to ask off for one of my children’s school activities.

I was working so many hours that I missed a lot of my children’s “growing up” years. Other than going to their sporting events at night or the weekend, I missed many of their plays, musicals, etc. Asking my boss for a couple of hours off was like I was committing a crime. Have you been through that?

Yes, many baby boomers have been negatively impacted by the current economic crisis. Some were counting on equity in their homes for use in retirement. Others have had their investment portfolio affected by the stock market crash last year.

Quite often I hear that the baby boomer generation has been seriously hurt by the current economic crisis. But for those who have gone through this, I feel you will rebound quickly.

Many baby boomers are well educated. They are not afraid of hard work. In fact, they are probably better employees and harder workers than people from other generations.

Baby boomers in general are smart people. Many are well educated. They are hard working people who will do what it takes to get the job done. They are aggressive, willing to take risks, and motivated and driven to succeed. Many have experienced successful careers. They are a giving people – always willing to help people.

These are all qualities that will help them find success during and after the current economic crisis. So what will baby boomers do in order to transition from their present jobs to more rewarding occupations?

First of all, baby boomers have much to give. The current economic crisis is not the first one they have lived through. They possess so much wisdom that can help younger people get through the present economic downturn.

For one thing, the baby boomer generation has so much to give. They have the life experience of going through many other economic downturns. Although each downturn is different, they have the wisdom to guide people from other generations.

I paraphrase her words. She said that each of us has experienced negative and positive things in our lives. Some people allow these negative things to get them down. It prevents them from being the person they were intended to be.

I hope that what Erica said and the way I have written it makes some sense to you. She is saying to not worry about the past such as a job lay-off or the sense of job insecurity. The past has provided us with the experiences, the ups and downs, which enable us to live the rest of our lives in a powerful way.

You may have had other negative situations in your life. But those negative things have provided you with the life experiences that will help you live a powerful life from this day forward. This is why I feel that baby boomers are in such a perfect position to succeed in a home internet marketing business.

By going into your own home internet marketing business, you can help people. You will be no longer working for a boss. Your income level is unlimited.

It allows you, the baby boomer, to determine your life purpose and how to live out this purpose. I personally feel that this is what life is all about.

A home internet marketing business will not be easy. You will need to learn. It’s critical to get excellent training. It takes hard work. You must persevere and be determined to achieve success. But then, these are all qualities of the baby boomer generation.
